All for the love of a baby – Honolulu Newborn Photographer

During a quiet moment, I sit back and watch and something always happens.  Dad looks lovingly at his new little boy, Mom and Dad glance into each others eyes and smile, Mom sniffs her sweet baby…all these beautiful sweet moments happening when no one is watching.  This little boy will one day look at these images and see how his Dad gave him soft eskimo kisses on his new little nose and how his Mom and Dad couldn’t help but smile when they looked at him.  These are the moments that happen, all for the love of a baby.

A Brothers Love – Honolulu Newborn Photographer

For a little girl, there is nothing quite like having a big brother.  Who doesn’t want someone who will always look out for you, always think the world of you and will always protect you.

A brother who will pick you up when you are crying and tell you it’s going to be okay.

A brother who will dance and make funny faces just to see you smile.

A brother who just wants to kiss you and pinch your cheeks because he loves you so.

Welcome to the world little girl.  Your family has been waiting for you.  You will be cherished and you will be protected and you will be loved.

You have three big brothers who will rope the moon for you if you ask them because that’s what big brothers do.

You will forever be your Daddy’s girl, your Mama’s baby and your brother’s Princess.

My crazy, beautiful life! – Honolulu Children’s Photographer

Have you fallen off the planet?!? In short, yes, I did. I do that sometimes. Ask my friends, they’ll tell you. I am one of those people who sometimes just needs to turn off the world and refocus on important things, like God and my family. Once I get recentered, I fall back into the crazy life I live and run full steam ahead until the next time I decide it’s time for a break. What do I do while I’m in hiding? I go to the beach, I read, I paint with my kids, I spend mornings on the couch snuggling, I get up and decide today is a me day and we do whatever it is I want. I find the time to have a little peace and quiet while drinking my coffee and reading my Bible. I make time for the things that during my busy months I don’t make a priority. I give my kids the attention I sometimes forget to give. I just turn off the world and refocus. I have a crazy, beautiful life. I love each and every second of it; including the wild ones!

The Birkenstock’s visit Hawaii – Honolulu Children’s Photographer

“Who lives in a pineapple under the seeeeaaaa?” Please cover your ears, I’m singing. Yup, I’m singing some Spongebob Squarepants songs. These are the sorts of things I do just to get a grin from a sweet little boy. And, he may think I’m being silly and singing all sorts of wacky, but what he doesn’t know is that I do in fact sound like a dying toad when I sing.

The Birkenstocks were traveling here in beautiful Hawaii and wanted to capture some memories on one of our beautiful beaches. Sandy’s did not disappoint. I love the contrast of the black rocks against the white sand. Swoon. We had a lot of fun running around and looking for “Gary” (yup, that’s yet another Spongebob reference!).

My favorite moments are the ones that cannot be planned or scripted; that moment when the sun peeks over the mountains as one of the boys is running towards me and he glances up as I call his name. Or, that moment when Mom is holding her son and squeezes him just a smidge tighter because she loves him so much in that moment. Those are the moments that make my heart flutter. Those are the moments that I am most thankful for being so blessed.
